# Hardware modules inventory plugin [(Download the MKP package)](/../../../-/raw/master/inv_hw_modules.mkp "Download MKP package")

**Note: this package is for CheckMK version 2.x. For other versions see the corresponding branch.**

Adds the hardware moduls information from network devices to the inventory

*  *wato*: 
    *  you can remove not needed columns from the inventory
    *  you can decide to add modules without serial number

**Testetd with**: Cisco, HP, Alcatel

**Note**: starting with CheckMK 1.5.x it will overlap with the buildin hardware inventory module
