# BGP peer

Monitors the status of Arista Networks BGP peers (IPv4 and IPv6)

**Note**: this plugin will supersede the original `arista_bgp` plugin.

This plugin will create one service for each BGP peer/adressfamily. It supports IPv4 and IPv6.

### Installation

You can install the package by uploading it to your CheckMK site and as site user run `mkp install arista_bgp_peer.mkp`.

In the Enterprise/Free edition of CheckMK you can use the GUI to install the package (_Setup_ -> _Extension Packages_ -> _Upload package_)

In addition to this package you need to install the vendor independent plugin [BGP Peer](https://thl-cmk.hopto.org/gitlab/checkmk/vendor-independent/bgp_peer "BGP Peer") as well.
