# Cisco VRRP [(Download the MKP package)](/../../../-/raw/master/cisco_vrrp.mkp "Download MKP package")

**Note: this package is for CheckMK version 2.x. For other versions see the corresponding branch.**

Monitors status of Cisco VRRP enabled interfaces

Check Info:

* *service*: creates one item per VRRP ID and interface
* *state*: **warning** if operational state not as desired or not master/backup, admin state is not up, authentication is not enabled
* *wato*: desired operational state and all monitoring states can be configured
* *perfdata*:
    *   Address list errors
    *   Advertisement interval
    *   Auth. type mismatch
    *   Authentication failures
    *   IP TTL errors
    *   Invalid auth. type
    *   Invalid type received
    *   Packet length errors


**Note: don't work with some Catalyst switces (Packet length errors)**
